Along with music, computers/internet aren't one of my strengths.

I'd be forever indebted if somebody could give me a link to somebody singing "A Daisy A Day" in the key of "G."

Thanks David.   In saying "try this" are you giving me your word it is in "G"?    If so, merci beaucoup ........ however other links will still be appreciated.

I can find lots of Youtube videos by various performers, but I can't tell what key they're  in.

Yes, I was able to strum along in G. The video is a "short" that appeared with other shorts, and I had to click around to try to get the video to appear on its own. I wasn't sure how it might appear for you.

Most videos seemed to be in C.

After a year-long study of Barbara Wharram’s (no relation to Kenny) “The Rudiments of Music” I’m sure you would be able to confirm the key, Mr. O. ;-)

It's better'n "good"  yes ... the other videos are "there," but don't play in succession as they normally would; A Daisy A Day seems to be looping (?) all by itself [i.e. no input from me] and that suits me just fine.

Edit: Chuck, I think I see a typo .... did you mean years-long??  wink

My alopogees to my Manitoba pal, and to the memory of my long-suffering high school English teacher, Mrs. Lindsay.

(I’m certain I’ve read “year-long” somewhere before,, maybe used in reference to drought or some such thing , as in “there was a year-long drought in 1933” )

One of the core lessons is to identify what key is being played within 5 seconds.

One of my local friends moved here from Connecticut in the 70s.

His first job when he moved to Kingfield was being Judd Strunk's property care-taker on Eustis Ridge.

10 years later Judd hired my band to play the graduation party for his son.

He got in a bit of trouble (the son) for selling $1 beer keg tickets at school. The booze cops got wind of the tickets and came to Judd's house and hauled him away.

Judd said as they were taking him away "Keep on partying and I'll be back as soon as I take care of this."

A little over an hour later Judd came riding in on a borrowed horse because they had taken his license.
