I've uploaded the Duet version and the individual 1st and 2nd Banjo parts for this piece as well as an mp3 of the Duet. You can just play the 1st banjo part as a Solo...but the 2nd banjo part is a good workout in triplet figures above the 12th fret. The mp3 runs at 140bpm. Tuning is standard gDGBD.

This technique of playing the melody on the bass string is a very common one in the period. It is usually written in 2 voices, so the solo or 1st banjo sounds a bit like two banjos. The bass string notes are accentuated over the chords to give it that effect. Done right, it is a cool technique. I hope y'all enjoy it.

BTW, there used to be a Youtube video of Cammeyer and Olly Oakley playing this on a Zonophone record. I think it was on David Wade's site...which is sadly no longer available.
