This is real Baseball, and as good as it gets! The regional tournaments have been just great and today we kick off the main event. I'm rooting for underdog Troy, but knowing they will be probably get murdered by West Virginia. Anybody else love this?

I watched it, and liked it, it back when our cable provider provided it.......... or maybe it was back when we had a dish??  I think there's been some hit-and-miss coverage the past few years.

I love college baseball, although I don't have a dog in this fight.  I'll pull for Troy and then maybe hold my nose and pull for North Carolina.  Pitching and good defense usually wins these things and I guess this one will be no difference.  I look for some good games!

PS:  College > than Major League baseball ........ as far as I'm concerned!

^^ Yes, at this level the skills are there but without any (or much) star ego or financial considerations. I love their enthusiasm for The Game. Baseball is by far my favorite sport, and it's unique in many ways, namely that it's not played to a clock and it's over when it's over. That last fact is not always loved when you are a parent on a travel team, but it's essential to the character of the game. I also love all the silly little rituals that have developed over the years, like booing when the pitcher throws to first, or wearing "rally caps" in the dugout.

Yep ..... all of that is fun!  And I think I do like the 20 second clock that they instituted this year ...... even in Girl's fast pitch softball, although I did not see it in their championship games.  Both of my grandsons are playing Little League and the oldest has always been on the traveling all-star team.  He is an excellent player, can play every position ...... just hope he does not burn out!
