speaking of weather,,,,,,
sunday evening we got wacked with a thunderstorm... worst wind i have seen in along time and 2 1/2 inches of rain in 45 minutes... it flooded the road the driveway and gutters.... Biblical stuff
we had a few days in the high 80s and into the 90s.
Much better Monday.I had to go to Boston on Monday,but it wasn't too bad.
I've never had air-conditioning except in the car.
I may get one that's on wheels next year.
Depending on your news source of choice, it seems that up to 29 people died from heat exposure in New Jersey last week. Some folks were found in their house or apartment with no cooling, some found in their cars, and a few just collapsed outside and died.

I knew a girl from 'da U.P. in college. She described the seasons up 'dere as nine months of winter and three months of bad sleddin'.
Been hot here, a week in the nineties with the humidity, now holding in the high eighties, still pretty humid. Moved out of a four bdrm ranch a few years ago seeing as how i was by myself. Missing the option of going down to an always cool basement.
Overnight temps in the 60s/75 with an ocean breeze this morning.Blue sky.
This is new to me. Here in da U.P. of Michigan, we deal with humidity and skeeters, and usually only get about a week a year of hot humid sticky weather. Today was more than I care for, and even considered shedding my long John’s. LOL
How is everyone keeping cool? Yesterday we were plunging in Lake Superior and today we spent it in Lake Michigan. Refreshing but not painful like Lake Superior. Besides , this heat is putting a damper on my ice fishing!!!
We are just next to Escanaba in Gladstone.

Us Canucks usually don’t complain about hot weather bc we deal with ice & snow for 4-5 months, not unlike Yoopers or anyone north of U.S. Route 2. We’re at 81*F (^~ Centilsius) today with lotsa sun. Looks good for our Shady Grove Bluegrass Fstvl next weekend.

We're actually having a nice break from those high temps. Supposed to be in the 80s all week with a chance of rain. Next week we go back to upper 90s. I'll enjoy the cooler weather while I can.
Well those in Europe obviously are not seeing the thousand ads I get daily on the computer for newly invented super cool air conditioners you just hang on the wall or sit on a counter, no vents, no holes, no waste water to capture or drain, etc, and very inexpensive? I actually clicked to the site once. one devil in the details-you have to add water to its tank every 6-8 hours. brad
Will be 109 here in Borrego Springs today. With all of those solar panels on my roof I can keep the AC cranked and they still end up sending me a check.

This bad-boy is what you really need Brad!! I didn't click on, or take note of the seller, but one similar to this one appeared on my Facebook page t'other day .... said it would "cool the room in 10 seconds." What's not to like?

Lots of ocean swimming this year.Still chilly with the exception of high tide occuring between 12 and 5 pm giving the sun the ability to heat the rocks and sand (Drift Inn Beach) for half the day as the water comes in over it.

just came in from mowing ,,, at 2:30 it was 94 here at the house... i am so glad i got that over with ... 2 hours yesterday and 2 more today...

We've had a very nice week, temps in the 80s, light to moderate wind, a little bit of rain and just a little humidity. A very pleasant change from the 100 plus temps we usually get in July. Ends Sunday and we're back to the upper 90s, lower 100s.
Durn people that let their cat get loose on the roof in this heat….!

62 F and rain yesterday!! Gonna hit 72 today. Next week it might hit 86. No AC up here in these homes.
But it is getting wetter…and less snow in the winters…which is not good.

well it helped build a couple of houses on the farm .. and a new tractor or 2.
100 here in northern Montana right now. Been hot. It hit 118 near Billings last week. Come on fall!
The last couple of nights were in the 50s,here.Had to close the windows and burn a few pieces of firewood last night.
