Union is about 20 miles up the road from me and I've been going there since I was a kid.
Used to see Joey Chitwood do car tricks there, played the year they had a rodeo back when that black guy was all the rage on broncos and stuff.
Nice old-time country fair that seems like it's been there forever.
Playing there again this Friday with "Rosey and Friends" at 11 am.

We'll be a French/Canadian fiddler, bluegrass guitar player who used to play with the Katahdin Valley Boys (7 time "Best Bluegrass Band" in Maine),Rosey (lead singer") and yours truly.
Mix of fiddletunes, old C&W and me singing 3 numbers.White Freightliner,Columbas Stockade and Don't This Road Look Rough and Rocky.

I'm not a lead singer for all-night,but I do like to chime in from time to time.

Does the fiddler play Saint Anne’s Reel, Crooked Stovepipe, Big John McNeill, or Maple Sugar?

Right on Rte. 32 to Waterville.
I'm about 1 hour from Vasselboro/China Lake which is about 1/2 hour to Union.
I've sometimes asked the question "What is Maine's Surf City?" when Surf is spelled Serf.
Maine's "Serf" City is "Vasselboro.

We played Ragtime Annie (3 parts in D,D and G) today at the fair.
Played 11 to 1 to just a handful of people.
Too hot and it started to rain a few minutes after we packed up.Oh well.Their director said "See you next year."
I grew up going to that fair.
My cousin married the previous owner.

I play Ragtime Annie, 2 parts, out of C shape, capo 2. I notice the third part goes to the key of B, at least on the recordings I play along with.

When our French fiddler (Gaspe Peninsula) plays I go with the uncapoed G neck.
Adds good power to the 3rd G part.
