Can anybody recommend a good luthier preferably with banjo experience near Sacramento? I’m pretty sure Monty Hendricks is retired. He knew his stuff. My other guy moved back east. Larry Cohea is too far away.
This is an easy one! The number one choice for you in the Sacramento area would be Renee Karnes in Rescue California. You can Google her. She is the best in building banjos and repairs and restorations.
Depending on what you need, you could try Arnie Gamble at Kline Music in Sac.
I don’t know if Renee is still working. Or Arnie for that matter.
