Deep,rich full tone. Original tone ring was a Cox, changed in 1999 to
Huber gold plated tone ring. Really barks now.

Banjo was set up as close to perfect as possible. Final adjustments
were made when I picked the banjo up.

Beautiful. curley maple with gold plateing done in a satin finish.
All parts and workmanship were excellent. Inlay work was something
Gibson could take a few lessons from.

I have had this banjo for 18 years. Besides minor adjustments,new
frets,head,etc. it still looks and plays as good as new. Built to last.

Frank Neat is a master craftsman and KNOWS his banjos. I have called
Frank many times with questions and he has gladly taken the time to
answer them. If there was any problem with the banjo,Frank would

Frank builds his banjos useing the best parts he can find. On his custom
banjos, he will use whatever the customer request. All components are
put together to produce one excellent instrument.

Without question , I would always recommend a Frank Neat built banjo.
His was known first for building conversion necks for pre-war tenor
banjos. But Frank can make anything as his StanleyTone (Ralph Stanley)
and Chief (Sonny Osborn) banjos attest.
In 1985 I wanted a 'left-hand' Gibson Granada. I called Gibson and was
told a custom banjo would take months and cost upwards to $3000.
I was refered to Frank,who said
