When I received my RB75 style from Ron (Earl5) on BHO. It came with one of his custom armrest. This one is madagascar rosewood to match the fingerboard.
I am delighted with the armrest. Not only does it
1. look good (not my bigest concern), but it has the additional benefits of
2. being easier on my arm and
3. it puts my arm in a better playing position. I think it gives me more arch in my hand by raising my arm.
I am totally delighted with this armrest and highly recommend them.

All I had to do was send a photo of my resonator and Ron matched the stain color for a magnificent piece of bird's eye maple. This little piece of wood is now on my banjo and it is beautiful. And, I don't have to put a sock on my forearm to keep from tarnishing the nickel on the armrest.
Ron Coleman was great to deal with. I will be coming back again to get another armrest for a different banjo.

Just received and installed my mahogany armrest cover. The angle of the bend on my RK-36 armrest is a little too sharp and has been digging into my forearm. Its a very good armrest, so instead of replacing it I opted to install one of Ron's covers. I choose a plain mahogany with satin finish.
It arrived quickly and looks great and installed perfectly. My forearm thanks Ron and so do I.

I received an armrest from Ron a few days ago. I didn't go with anything super fancy, just a nice rosewood design without inlays. It looks great on my Deering Deluxe and matches very nicely. The workmanship is great and Ron was super friendly while I was trying to pick what to get. Could not have asked for a better turnout.

bought a hatfield special banjo in burl walnut and wanted a wooden armrest cover (allergy to metal coating) Arthur hatfield recommended getting in touch with ron which i did what a beautiful piece of craftsmanship an inlaid walnut armrest very practical and smooth not bulky, the match to the walnut of the banjo is astounding
would have no qualms what so ever recommending this product to any body absolutely first rate.

I have wanted a wooden armrest for my two banjos for a while as I have an allergic reaction to the nickel plating.I emailed Ron and told him what I wanted.He had two ready to go and they arrived two days ago.They are absolutely beautiful walnut covers that look great on my banjos.They attach to the armrest with no wiggle or movement..And no more rash on my arm...Thanks Ron

A well-made arm rest nicely finished and stable when attached. Mine is flamed walnut and a very rich, dark brown matte finish. Ron cuts and finishes a wooden 'rest that sits on top of your own metal arm rest. You send him a tracing of your arm rest and he does the rest. Ron has many different woods to choose from and is very easy to deal with by phone or e-mail. While I have never had a Nechville "comfort bevel" arm rest, I think Ron's is comparable in quality. Highly recommended. September 2009 update: the arm rest is working just fine...no wiggling, no slipping on the metal base. I ordered a 2nd one in Ron's new design. Rating upgraded to a "10," give this accessory a try. You'll like it.
