Australian Banjp Conference

From jessegw90 on 10/3/2013 2:01:57 PM

Hi there,

Nice meeting some of you at Guildford. Is anyone attending this conference this year? I think I might have to get there to see Alan Munde..

i've tutored there the last 3 but i'm not going this year. it's pretty good. it would be interesting to meet alan munde and jens kruger. you should enjoy it if you go and learn a fair bit. it's divided up into different levels, novice - to more experienced so it's important to be in the best group for your playing level. it's a pretty location and for too much food! a pity it's so expensive for though.

It's a shame they don't offer a campers ticket, as the accommodation fee is preclusive (on top of flight costs). After having missed our very own Banjo Jamboree for one or other reasons, I'd love to have gone to this one, but…

Yes, it is quite dear for a weekend away, I've decided to treat myself however.
For those who have been, I'm probably at an intermediate-ish level but have a good grasp on theory and stuff having learnt classical & jazz on other instruments for many years:
Would it be more beneficial to put myself down for more advanced classes or just stick with the intermediate sorta level?
I guess I'd like to get the most out of it possible and have my eyes opened to a bunch of new playing ideas.
