Bluegrass Session - Geelong, Vic.

Hi all,

A monthly bluegrass session is starting up this month at Harvester Moon, just out of Geelong on the Portarlington Rd.

Sunday May 25th, 1-6pm is the first get together and will then continue monthly, every 2nd Sunday of the month. More info at facebook.com/bluegrasspickerscollective.

How did this go? I wouldn't mind setting something like this up where I am -heading towards Gisborne. Only thing is I can only play 5 tunes! Ha ha! But there's nothing like a regular jam session to push one's progress faster. I'm interested tonknow how many turned up to your session and what songs you played.

We've had 2 sessions so far and both have been great. 15+ people for each session with a nice variety of instruments & voices. Songs & tunes were all pretty much from the standard bluegrass repertoire. We've got our next session this weekend...

15+ people is great! What would you say the most popular songs are? Maybe if I learn some of those, I'll be able to play with others faster!

My understanding is that the group now meets at
