any tips on chord fingering?

Hello Gang, I am the proud owner of a Deering Goodtime and a rank beginner. I'm finding it tough to finger the C chord without hitting the other strings. Any thoughts? I suspect this is just a practice/practice/practice issue.

Also I find it impossible to stand and use a strap because I cannot then see the strings. Just sayin...

	rbishopp says: 3/16/2015 7:50:22 PM yep just practice. I can't get to many chord postions quickly myslef. Also a beginner. I can't stand either and don't really plan to but I suspect when the time comes I'll use a bar stool to help work into it.
