any thoughts on this? I was a little surprised by the price...

	CJSBoston says: 5/29/2025 12:58:47 PM I have a different definition for what counts as 'mint' (e.g. the fretboard gunk). I haven't paid too much attention recently, but I thought most of these models were in the $1250-$1500 range. Maybe others will have a better idea of the recent price ranges.

Nonetheless, I would point out that the late Mike Ramsey is no longer making banjos, and—despite a myriad of perfectly good banjos being made and marketed—his will always have a particular cachet. Consider Loar mandolins or Mastertone banjos: At some point they ceased being mere instruments and became investments. Combine a limited and ever diminishing supply with a healthy demand, and prices will go up. However, always remember that while price may be determined by the seller, value is determined by the buyer. So, if you think it is too expensive, it is. If you think it's worth the asking price, it is. Cheers! ZEPP
