Hello and "Where will I shelter my sheep tonight"

From writedivine on 9/6/2014 1:55:48 PM

Hi All,  I'm new to the group but love gospel and am learning the clawhammer style.  I am trying to find the music or tab to an old gospel tune called Where Will I Shelter My Sheep Tonight.  I have done extensive internet searches and cannot find it.  If anyone has it and is willing to share I would sure appreciate it!

Where Will I Shelter My Sheep Tonight (Offering)

Flatt and Scruggs

youtube.com/watch?v=EA9r9kLdaI0

(F) Where will I shelter my (Bb) sheep (F) tonight
Where is that peaceful (C) land
(F) Where will I shelter my (Bb) sheep (F) tonight
Where the beasts won’t (C) steal my (F) lambs
Chorus
(Bb) We’ve travelled far shepherd (F) dog and I
Weary sin sick and (C) sore
(F) Where will I shelter my (Bb) sheep (F) tonight
I’ll shelter my (C) sheep at God’s (F) door

instrumental break

My soul is weak and thirsty too
As I cross these burning sands
Where will I shelter my sheep tonight
Where is that peaceful land
We’ve travelled far shepherd dog and I
Weary sin sick and sore
Where will I shelter my sheep tonight
I’ll shelter my sheep at God’s door

It's in F but moving up to G should work ok.

Wow- thank you so much! This is great - I originally heard Alice Gerrard sing it at an old time music festival.

Linked by CEParagon124 12 years ago: I like this little arrangement of We Will Understand It Better By and BY, but I recorded this on an old pre-1900 Lyon & Healy on which I had just changed the 5th string was ringing like crazy.
Sorry.
