Hi all ,

Do you know how we can stain a skin ? I read that we can use Coffee or tea in the water .

I love the skin from Romero , someone know how he can have such nice skin ?

I have just set up a Bill Miller colored skin and i love the warm sound i have with the bass.

	vintagewells says: 11/30/2011 2:32:35 PM Interesting question. I am wondering if I have any leather dye or stain around. I think it is water based though. You might consider experimenting with some scrap if you mounted your head and the dogs didn't get the trimmings. If none are available, then one could try using a piece of doggie rawhide to see what the effects arel, just soak it. and no, I am not kidding. Just soak it over night and unroll it. I wouldn't use a dye like rit as they contain salt.
	DEmery says: 2/22/2012 4:58:47 AM I don't hold myself out as an expert on coloration of heads; but from what I've read folks like Romero uses stain matched to the neck. I have a killer banjo by Lee Sproull and the skin is matched to the mahogany neck stain. That along with well selected brass components it provides a nice look for sure not unlike Jason's banjos. Lee Sproull is a BHO member and may be willing to share an email on his technique. David E.
