Hi folks,

I wanted to share the news that I'll be bringing "The Banjo in America" to the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley for a matinee 1 pm performance on Sunday, March 6. Tickets are reasonably priced at $17 adv / $15 at the door.

"The Banjo in America" features over 250 years of musical traditions played on a dazzling array of banjos. From West African music, through 19th and 20th century folk, classic, minstrel & bluegrass styles, to my own original pieces and arrangements, you'll hear a wide variety of banjo styles in this concert, experience the sounds of many different instruments and come to understand in new ways the importance of the banjo to the story of American music.
