One last attempt at my impossible dream: Help me locate the Style A 5-string I stupidly sold long ago. After I sold it, it went through Yokley's Banjo Ranch in St. Petersburg, FL probably 1958 +/-.

Don't think it was a plectrum converted to a 5-string. Do not remember anything about the 5th string peg to suggest that. Plus, there was a position marker at the 9th fret, rather than the normal 10th fret.

Don't know serial number. I wrote my name and address on the inside of the resonator: C. Webb, 1600 Walnut Street, Clearwater, FL. Also, I tried to install some Scruggs tuners in the peg-head. When they didn't work, I plugged the holes. If I can ever get it back, would like to do penance by having it properly restored by a pro.

I have a Style A tenor for which I someday may make a 5-string neck. I promise to keep the tenor neck intact with its original pearl inlay. I have my own inlay theme: eagle chasing osprey to steal a fish.

I tried this 4-5 years ago with no success, which stimulated me to build 3 banjos, 2 5-strings and a 6-string. Fun!
