I'm a retired 79 year old. In my early years 1960's to 1972, I worked in a R&B horn band. Toured for 3 years until my daughter came into my life. Felt like I needed to be home more for her. Brother talked me into going to a bluegrass festival and that was it! Bought my first banjo and a year later we put a band on stage at our first festival. My brother was the mando player and lead singer. The band (Cabin Hill) was together for 50 YEARS! We retired the band in 2022 due to age and health issues. But we still sit on the porch and pick with friends or to a festival and jam a little. No more staying up to 2 am.. In bed by 11! HAHA! It's been a great run and I've had more fun than a man should be allowed to have.
