Almost retired, married, 9 kids, 29 grand kids, 34 great-grand kids, learned to play banjo and guitar by ear, have no need for tabs or written music, can play along within 10 to 15 seconds, much to my daughter's amazement. I am missing most of my left index finger due to an accident while working for the UP, Oct. 28, 1966. Had to change how I played chords, so I literally play 3-finger style (uniquely mine), 3-finger pickin', 3-finger cordin'. I do read music for the baritone, trombone,& trumpet, and play by ear with them also. Sing bass, tenor, or alto in choir.
