Last night ,just after getting to bed, the phone rang. One of my coworkers called to let me know that another friend and former coworker was killed in an airplane crash. I had worked with the captian and flown with him numerous times and had worked with the copilot as well. They were taking a air tanker to New Mexico for the fire season, got caught in weather and flew into a hillside.I should add that is was not the Hangout's Pickin in the Yukon. I'm also getting ready to fly back to Alaska today for work on another project and won't be back till June. I.m sure there is internet in Kotzebue but I don't know if I'll have access to a computer so this might be the last I get to see the hangout for awhile. Hope to see you all soon.
