Play 3-finger style - bluegrass - and have learned mostly from tabs. I started out playng a 5-string Kay banjo called an Aristocrat in 1965 in 8th grade. ( took lessons then.) I played throughout college then in grad school quit for about 20 years. Bought my first high-end banjo in 2000 and I have been hooked ever since.
