Hi All,
Never wrote a blog befor but here goes. I started 8 months ago with the banjo learning 3 fingered bluegrass pickin. Had a great teacher for 4 months so got a good start. I winter in Arizona so had to find help with the lessons. A friend recommended Murphy Henry's CDs. I think they are wonderful I am into my second CD and feel I am learning a lot. I plan to continue with them when I get back home. I am a picker and love the bluegrass sound, my husband is a great supporter and grins as I pick. I was able to join in the jams at our winter park and that was great even though I was all thumbs the first couple of times. I play a psaltry, dulcimer and piano and always liked the banjo sound so finally started lessons. It has been one of the best things I have ever done. I call it my thearapy, beats paying a thearapist and cheaper too. I may never be as fast as the old timers but thats ok. Like I said I am lovin it.
