I have played Scruggs style since 1961. I Grew up in Connecticut, where I helped found Apple Country with Phil Rosenthal, also have played with Frank Wakefield, John Rossbach's Chestnut Grove, and am currently in Cecil Abel's Seacoast-based New England Bluegrass Band. I have spent a LOT of time jumping back into clawhammer, particularly Round Peak style, (with a lot of encouragement from Steve Arkin and Marc Horowitz!!)and attended...and LOVED...my first Clifftop Festival in 2006 and went to a few more
