I am just a regular guy who started out playing 80s metal, then moved onto jazz, then moved onto folk / progressive rock, and now love the banjo. I'm sure I'm not alone. When I was younger, I'd make my deliverance face when I thought about the banjo; but I fell in love with it when I was forced to learn some chords in one weekend to play banjo in the Irish brigade at the Mummer's Day Parade in Philadelphia. By the way, our brigade came in last place; however, I was drunk the whole time. Anyway, the banjo is here to stay. It is one instrument that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
