I had my first taste of banjo back in 1987 when I lived in Tahlequah, OK. I took lessons from Jimmy Gyles of Mountain Smoke. Wow, what a musican. As fate would have it, I left Tahlequah and sadly left the musical genius of Jimmy behind. As time and family pressures will do, I put down the banjo. 20 years later, I want to try it again.
