From Sheffield South Yorkshire in merry England, home of 'The Full Monty' (and it really is that grim, I myself sometimes have to strip to make ends meet). Learned piano and many years of painful violin lessons as a child, then at 15 taught myself bass guitar so I could join a local rock band who wanted a bass. At about 17, I started teaching myself to strum the acoustic guitar and got a job selling keyboards and organs, as well as guitars, so had to get into that pretty quickly. Had a bit of a go on the clarinet. Done several gigs over the years playing bass and singing. Had a go at song writing and had a good laugh recording my tunes. Now in the evening of my 30's with many children (one of whom has just started guitar lessons) I feel that I have earned the right to buy a nice banjo and play, play and play and when the children shunt me off into a home for the elderly and visit my crumpled drool drenched self once a year at least we will be able to strum out a couple of tunes together before I am returned to my urine stained bed. Enjoy motocross riding followed by Stella Artois consumption. Favourite films 'Withnail and I', 'Blues Brothers' and obviously 'Deliverance' from whence my interest first arose.
