i've been a "punk rock" bass player for many years and came to love bluegrass in the late 90's. banjo has always been intriguing but i figured it wold be too hard. i sucked it up and purchased an abelene from a pawn shop for a hundred bucks or so and started taking lessons. i soon ran out of money and sacraficed the banjo for some extra scrib. i found over the next few years that i really missed playing and really missed t he challange so i purchased another banjo and am currently teaching myself through a couple of books i have found. i will start lessons back up very soon to make the most out of this journey. my daughter wants to start guitar lessons so i feel this could be pretty fun daddy daughter time.
