I'd be lying if I said I was heavily influenced by bluegrass and typical banjo music. Though, I do really enjoy bluegrass, and try to catch live events whenever possible. Really, it was the banjo itself more than the music it usually plays that has long interested me. My goal is to experiment with integrating the banjo into musical styles not typically associated with banjo music.
That said, I'm a sucker for snake oil medicine show. Well, before they went all Rasta...

I travel a lot for work, and I spend a lot of lonely nights in hotels. I've wanted to learn the banjo for a long time, and I figured there was no better time than now to get started. I've been having a lot of fun, and pissing off a lot of other road weary travelers. :)
