Started with my Dad's old "Banjo Ukelele". Started a folk group in 1961 (The Windy Hill Singers) out of the San Francisco area. Performed as the Banjo and lead singer with the group for 5 years until college and careers ended the group. We recently began a reunion and started back up again. Played a 1962 open back Vega 5 string. Recently purchased a "long Neck" that has a 1927 Little Wonder Style N pot (has a serial number) with waht appears to be a hand-made long neck My gues is that it pre-dates when Vega started making long-necks for the "folkies".
