My brother, who has played the guitar for 30 years, would have helped me change my banjo strings if I had asked him. However, I decided to strike out on my own Saturday afternoon. Did very well except for popping the middle G string. Was able to make a repair and put it on anyway because it broke close to the end. But the entire experience seemed to drain me. Changing strings should not take all afternoon.
I showed him what I had done Sunday afternoon. He approved and even said (with a smile) "It's in tune, too."
