Had three banjo's but gave the Clifford to my friend JC who discovered it was made in 1914. A Cliffford Essex unknown model with a chromed brass resonator, RB250 & Granada 1994 model

Started playing banjo after joining the Royal Navy. Was walking around Portsmouth and came across a music shop with a long arm 5 string in the window, price £15. That and a Scruggs book and away to go. Been playing ever since. Taken up Mandolin more recently
