Need Some Motivation

Well...after a two year hiatus, I have picked up my ol' Framus again to reinvent my wheel. I think I was on the verge of being purty good at the banjo and I threw most of it down the drain. Luckily, my mother was right, I did get interested again. So now it's catch up time!! I think my somewhat biggest problem right now is that I have a hard time playing by ear. And I definately can't play a solo. At least an original one. I just get very very frustrated when I'm having to tediously pickout a song that I've heard one note at a time. But then again, I suppose that if you do that long enough you'll be able to do it much quicker and with ease. I have even made myself a practice sheet, so I make myself practice every day. I think that I'm goign to start putting a dollar in a jar evertime I practice, then when I get enough moeny to buy a new banjo I should be purdy good and would thus justify a new banjo.
