Started at the age of 5 in Portland, OR; At age 19 became a headliner for a show in Branson, MO for three years. Moved to L.A. and replaced my idol and mentor, Brad Roth, in Banjomania after he retired from the group - toured with them for 2 1/2 years. Also played at Disney during this time. Joined the 10th Ave. Jazz Band and toured 40 countries playing over 200 jazz festivals and clubs. Left the music industry in 2001 to pursue a different and more stable career. Really, it came down to politics with a certain band and burnt out of being on the road 300 days/year. The past 7 - 8 years have been spent exploring where I really want to go with my music and push the boundaries of my ear and soul. Hence, the very obscure listing of influences. Please note I left out exactly 137 other musicians/groups and did not want to take up the additional cyberspace (going green these days). Anyway, I am hoping to use this as a bridge to those whom I grew up knowing and/or listening to "back in the old days". So many from the West Coast that I have not had contact with that I would like to reunite, as well as those across the globe. So, for those that were wondering.... no I didn't drop off the face of the earth, but life directed me a different route and one that was unstoppable, yet for which I will always be thankful. For those who don't understand I can explain in a more unpublicized setting. "Is this thing on?" Anyway, I look forward to rekindling old friendships and acquaintances, and look forward to acquiring those which will be new.
