Gave my self banjo lessons for my 35th birthday. Started going to local jams a few years later, and with Dave Goldhammer, formed Coal Creek Bluegrass Band in 2001. Since 2008 I've been performing with Steel Pennies. Besides performing, I'm active with the Colorado Bluegrass Music Society, and M.C. many of the CBMS concert events.
