I've hardly touched my banjo in over a year. Frustration, mostly, is what brought me to a screeching halt. I want to start again, but I don't want to be disappointed by putting it away again. So I'm hesitant.

I'm new to the concept of playing music and loving it instead of listening and loving it. It's a whole new world for me; a whole new language. I probably will always call myself a "student of the banjo." I have an all-or-nothing-type of personality, so it's all practice and banjo for two weeks and nothing for two months. I will never quit playing the banjo, however, my advancement rate is slow-a-coming.
