I listened to Bela Fleck all through college as "studying music" without ever really realizing that it was the sound and dynamic of the banjo that made me fall in love with it. As part of a "I'm leaving college mid-life crisis" sort of situation, I bought a banjo and fell into the "banjo obsession"- learning absolutely everything I can about the banjo and how to play it. And thus a hobby is born... I'm thankful for these things in life that grant us pure fascination for small parts of our lives and am happy to be in a community with dedicated players and musicians.
