Banjo practice got cancelled.

Well, I went to put on new strings before practicing today and when I turned one of the tuners, bad things happened. There was a grating feeling and then the tuner knob turned........to easy. the string post didn't turn. They're only thirty years old. I guess things just don't last like they used to. Stew-Mac is sending replacements. Waverleys this time. Thankfully shipping only takes three days.

I started out on accordian at age ten, from there I moved to the saxaphone for Junior high and High school. After that I got married ( 40 years now to the same woman). I was a career fireman (35 years) now retired. All my music since marriage has been self taught. I play for myself mostly, although my cousin and I did a "gig" for a local non-profit that helps kids with cancer. They were nice enough to not comment on our abilities, HA.
