Born in Annapolis, MD. Occupation/Day Job: Studio Artist & Illustrator. Studied studio art (painting and printmaking) at Corcoran Gallery College of Art (class of '69), Maryland Institute of ArT (class of '73), received MFA in lithography from George Washington University (1977).. I began playing guitar at age 12, banjo at 14. I was lucky to have grown up in Baltimore-Washington area in early '60s. The area was the homebase of a number of members of the so-called "Blues Mafia" as well as being "bluegrass central" for the mid-Atlantic states at the time.
