I'm a good plectrum banjo player. I started on 5-string but no one could show me how to play it. So, I ended up playing plectrum as a member of the Peninsula Banjo Band in San Jose, Calif.
Favorite Bands/Musicians:
Bill Munde on 5-string banjo, Jack Elliot on Guitar, Bill Lowery and Jack Convery on plectrum banjo and the late Jelly Roll Morton and Scott Joplin on piano.

Raised in Massachusetts, graduated from Boston University, Moved to California in 1965 and worked as an electronic technician for Lockheed in Sunnyvale, California. Retired from Lockheed in 2005. Played plectrum banjo with the Peninsula banjo band from 1970 until now. For the last 5 years on the 4th of July week my wife and I attend festivities at the Oregon Trails Banjo Camp in Sweethome Oregon. We have a blast and meet banjo players from all over the world up there, mostly 4-string but occasionally a 5-string player will show up. Now that I'm retired I want to get back on track and work on my 5-string skills. I'm 67 years old so I figure I have at best about 20 years to develop my skills. I own a very nice OME 5-String Banjo and nice sounding Vega Custom made Plectrum.
