Back in the early 1970's i got to see alot of the masters of bluegrass at a festival near where i live. I got to see Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, Ralph Stanley, Jimmy Martin, the Osborne Brothers and other groups. Bill Monroe was buying a soft drink at the concession stand and i asked him if i could take his picture and he said i could. I got to talk to one of Jimmy Martin's sons at their station wagon. I got to also take Jimmy's picture too.
At a festival in Camp Springs ,NC i got to see John Duffy and Seldom Scene, Charlie Waller and the Country Gentlemen, Doyle Lawson and Quicksliver, Eddie Addock and the Second Generation and others. To see all those folks is something i'll never forget.
