Been quite a while since my last post. I appreciate dgill's support. Also hope everyone's Easter was great.
I continue to improve, albeit at a snail's pace, and have gotten more material from my instructor the past couple of lessons. Playing banjo continues to be fun and I certainly enjoy being able to make my way through the tunes I know now. Certainly looking forward to expanding my repertoire.
I am blessed that my work has picked up, even if it eats into my practice time. The warmer temps make sitting on the front porch more enjoyable.
The blues band has folded and I am currently putting together a solo set list for guitar as well as banjo and mandolin. Performed "Satisfaction" on my mandolin the other night and it was well received.
Hope everyone is doing well and I believe at this time I will sign off and get to picking and grinning.

i have been playing with guitars off and on for the past 30 years. Started back to playing after the children had gotten a bit older. Wife's friend gave her a five string Deering which had laid under the bed for a while. I decided to get it out and find someone to teach me how to play it. So far, so good and I am enjoying every minute.
