well, you don't care about the other stuff so i'll just tell you about my musical life: started playin electric bass in rock bands (heavy rap-y stuff....hey, it was cool at the time) got sick of that and interested in jazz went to UNCG (where I met my single biggest influence/most important mentor, Charles Gambetta) to study music, started a piano trio with fellow students there and started playin freelance jazz gigs around NC (Played with Paul Jeffries, Greg Hyslop, Thomas Taylor and a bunch of other great local players). Moved to NJ to finish my education at William Paterson Univ (Graduated with a Jazz bass performance degree) during my time at Willie P, i got a banjo so that i could have a musical outlet that didn't feel so pressure filled....fell in love with it but didn't have tons of time to play b/c i was playin so much bass about 2 years ago really started playin a bunch of banjo....wrote a bunch of tunes on it....convinced a couple of music school buddies to play the music with me (i'm very lucky that they're such nice guys and good friends!) and now we're a band called 'not for air' the end
