My Instruments:
Mainly Martin, Collings, Kay and handmade Yamaha guitars, a Kalamazoo A model F hole mandolin, an Ibanez 526 and a Czech Kristufek mandolin plus many vintage fiddles, I play Bluegrass. I have a Bozo 5 string banjo and a late 30's Kalamazoo tenor banjo owned by Red Smiley

Learned to play guitar on my fathers KG21 Kalamazoo guitar and was brought up on 3 Hank Williams 78's. Later I discovered Bluegrass, started a band called Spruce Pine and toured all over Europe playing guitar and singing lead. Organised 2 European tours for Charlie Moore in Nov 1976 and March 1979, played 2 tours with Jim Eanes and a few gigs with Bill Clifton. Founded an early Austrian Bluegrass band The Loser Mountain Boys in the early ?s.
