Take a look at my new banjo head made Ole Red(Mike). This is just exactly what I ordered. Mike was not only in contact throughout the whole process, but was definitely patient since I am new to changing out my banjo head. The image that you see here is from the Grateful Dead Terrapin Station album cover. I have always loved this cover, and always said that if I ever learned how to play the banjo, I wanted this picture on it, and thankfully for me, Mike was able to make it. Unfortunately the picture that you see does not do any justice. The vivid color, clarity, and glossy picture turned out to be amazing. I am going to make sure that Mike (from Scotland) get a great review on eBay, because he does fantastic work. If you ever need any artwork done on your banjo head, you got to give the guy a try, you won't regret it.
I am a novice at the banjo since I have only played for six years, and still trying to learn how to play, but with that said the sound is a little different that what I am used too. But in Mikes defense, I did change the head from a frosted head to a clear head, and changed from medium Vegas strings to light bronze D'Addario strings. The sound is more warm if this helps any. To me I feel like I have a new instrument, which is really cool. My style is a bluegrass and claw hammer combination.
