I want to let all know that this years camp was fantastic! As a novice, I felt so taken care of...Chuck and Ken coordinated a wonderful experience. The instructors and staff met all my needs. I am still on that banjo high experienced after camp. And as the only raisin in the oatmeal I found everyone friendly and open. The African connection was well known and appreciated. Prof. Greg Adams made sure to make that clear and has a presentation on the history of the banjo that is the best I've heard. The instructors are awesome. They made me feel good about even wanting to try and learn to play banjo. Paul Brown is like some Yoda, who taps into your banjo soul. Adam Hurt can make sounds out of a gourd banjo that blows one away; James McKinney is the "keeper of the flame" and so modest with his craft. Alan Munde is the wise Sage with mucho wit. Alan Jabbour really helped me see that bridge with fiddle and banjo, and can weave a story while jammin'. Learned much, got to practice my ass off! see you next year!! Rommell
