I've got to say that I am quite pleased with myself. With the advice found on the BH forums I've set up my banjo, and it sounds absolutely wonderful.
I don't have no fancy banjo, can't afford one, especially as I'm left handed and I find that 20% is added on for left handed instruments. What I have is a Ozark 2104 LH.
I've lowered the string action and re-tensioned the saddle to make it lower to the head. Just by doing those two simple adjustments my banjo now has more ring and volume and is much easier to play.
So, thanks to all of you wonderful people who have taken the time to put your thoughts and advice on the forums, couldn't have done it without you.
