Started playing 5-string when I was 14 or 15, on a Framus long neck. Learned all picking styles (clawhammer, frailing, up picking, double thumbing etc) from the book How to play the 5-string banjo by good old Pete Seeger. Started playing in a band early 1970 (The Bluegrass Clodhoppers). Played one year with Harry Sacksioni. Then begin 1980 played in the band Jerrycan. The last 7 or 8 years with The Cowpokes.
