played with bob dylan, sam shepard, mississippi john hurt, buckminster fuller, yo la tengo, they might be giants, fugs, formed holy modal rounders, co-invented freak folk (1963). took decades to learn to write songs well. have written over 50 banjo tunes since 2009. current band is the ether frolic mob, which has 5 banjo players. we do killer mass banjo.
