I grew up in Cambridge/Boston, MA at the end of the folk era. I played at many of the local coffee houses in the evening including the original "Club 47" in Cambridge and "The Bitter End" and "The Village Gate" in NY. Along the way, I got an electrical engineering degree, music theory and continued multi-style guitar/banjo playing ranging from Folk/Bluegrass to Classical/Flamenco. This culminated into studies at The American Institute of Guitar in NY under Dennis Kosster - a protégée of 60s flamenco giants Sabicas and Mario Escudero. This eclectic playing/singing opened the door to the pro audio/movie-film industry. While on staff in recording studios in CT and NY over the next fifteen years, I was chief recording engineer and studio musician. I recorded and mixed audio for Film and Video and Radio/TV ads, and composed many original music scores for them.
