Greetings,
This is the year I learn how to play the banjo. I am ready to buy, but am far from informed. I am seeking advise from the experienced! I don't know if I should start with a 4 string and work my way up, or just jump into a 6 string. I am above average at memorization, so I don't think I need to start with a toddler instrument. I don't know the quality difference between makes and models, or where my money is best spent.
Ultimately I want a banjo with some art and history behind it, but I am also anxious to get started. I wonder if I should just pic up a starter bundle for a couple hundred while I search out my perfect match.
Any advice is much appreciated!
