I decided to learn the banjo after watching an episode of The Beverly Hillbillies with special guests Flatt and Scruggs. I thought thats pretty cool I should look into that. Then I saw Andy Griffith, one of those great episodes where The Darlins come to town, and I was sold. I used my high school graduation money to by my first banjo and took it to college. Needless to say after learning a few songs I was a hit in the dorms. Everybody loves the banjo.
